Diablo 4 players, Lord of Hatred is now officially live! Ready to show off your skills in the game? IGGM will now show you how to level up from 1 to 70 faster, helping you get off to a good start and go further in Lord of Hatred.
Key Character Creation Settings
First, we must choose Lord of Hatred Campaign, not Vessel of Hatred Campaign. Only Lord of Hatred Campaign unlocks new areas and the new endgame Horadric Cube.
You can certainly choose Expert or Penitent difficulty to start the game, but for most players, Normal difficulty is the best choice for a better campaign experience. Boss battles in the campaign are smoother on Normal difficulty. If you are an experienced player, you can try Hard, but higher difficulties are not recommended.
We need to know that on Normal difficulty, bosses have less health, the risk of failure is lower, and overall map movement is faster. While the experience multiplier is low, the main quest completion time is the real bottleneck. Speed is more important than difficulty.
Our main story takes place on Skovos Islands. IGGM recommends familiarizing yourself with the new areas beforehand, as they cannot be skipped after launch. Take it easy and treat it as a complete story experience.
Preparation for the Start
Here are some actions you should perform immediately upon entering the game.
First, you need to equip pets. Press the I key to have your pets automatically pick up Diablo 4 gold, crafting materials, etc., saving you a lot of time exploring the map.
Next, you need to recruit Mercenaries as soon as possible. If you have Vessel of Hatred, go to Nahantu region to recruit them. Mercenaries provide extra damage and control, greatly helping with clearing mobs in the early game.
Also, it’s best to lock onto the yellow main quest markers and only do the main quests marked with yellow icons throughout the leveling process. Skip all side quests, dungeons, and events for now, and come back to them after reaching the level cap.
Campaign Phase
This phase is expected to take 5-10 hours, depending on whether you skip the cutscenes.
The animations in Diablo 4 are actually quite good; the story and cutscenes are of high quality. If it’s your first time playing, IGGM recommends not skipping the story. If you’re purely focused on efficiency, you can skip everything, but you’ll inevitably miss out on some enjoyment.
Players depart from Hawezar and travel by ship to the new capital city on Skovos Islands. Horadric Cube is located in the capital city and unlocks upon completing the main story.
If you complete the campaign, your character is expected to reach level 40-50. The new level cap is 70, so you’re more than halfway there.
As mentioned before, some boss fights in the campaign, especially the final fight, can be very tedious on Hard or higher difficulties. If you’re short on gear at the start, you can buy cheap Diablo 4 items from IGGM.com to help with your early game. We maintain ample inventory and a dedicated 24/7 professional team to support our lightning-fast 15-minute delivery service, helping you level up with greater efficiency.

Class Quests
For the new Warlock class, you must manually complete the level 15 class quest, which will significantly increase your damage.
For other classes, such as Barbarian and Sorcerer, if you have already completed the level 15 quest for that class in Eternal Realm, your character will automatically receive the quest reward; no further completion is necessary.
Completing the level 15 quest is still important, as it determines your strength in the early to mid-game.
Two Capstone Dungeons
Capstone Dungeons are key locations for leveling up.
The first Capstone Dungeon, Torrid Menagerie, is located in the upper left corner of Hawezaar. It’s recommended to attempt it after completing the campaign, when your character is around level 45. Note that you should choose Hard difficulty here, as this will reward extra skill points.
The second Capstone Dungeon is located at the top of Skovos region map, Hellish Descent. Your character must be level 50 and choose a higher difficulty, Penitent.
IGGM recommends against challenging the second Capstone Dungeon too early. If you try to clear it at level 50, you’ll likely get one-shotted. Wait until you’re level 60 or higher and have higher-level Diablo 4 gear; you’ll be able to clear it in one go. After completing it, unlock The Pit and continue your leveling sprint.
Quickly Reach Level 70
It’s best to prioritize areas that have both Helltides and Grim Favors quests for maximum experience gain. Choose Hard difficulty for an additional 75% experience bonus. Having a reliable teammate is even better.
Helltides last 55 minutes with a 5-minute break, which you can use to organize your gear.
After unlocking The Pit, levels 1-5 offer extremely high experience efficiency. Keep grinding until level 70 to unlock the higher difficulty Torment 1 and enter the final game.
Additional Tips
Attribute Points and New Skill Tree
All class skill trees have been reworked. If you’re unsure about the effects of many nodes, don’t blindly copy guides. Try investing in skills that work for you in-game.
Historical Strength Reference
In previous seasons without a mandatory campaign, some players reached Paragon level 300 in 60 hours. This time, because of the mandatory campaign time commitment, the overall leveling time will be significantly longer, but this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. The scenery and combat experience of the new map are quite good.
Boss Loot
Finally, it’s best to pay attention to the specific loot drops from all class bosses, which can be used to specifically farm Diablo 4 items.
Mastering these strategies will make leveling in Lord of Hatred much easier. IGGM wishes you a smooth progression!
